OIA Furniture and Objects stands out from other brands with its emphasis on thin laminated marbles from around the world. This industrial factor sets it apart and allows the brand to showcase the best of BARMAT's production capabilities while establishing itself as a distinct presence in the design market. OIA aims to be more than just a brand that sells products; it aims to create a unique identity that resonates with its audience.

The design process for OIA involved extensive research into spatial industry details, such as NASA imagery and futuristic movie references. These influences were translated into the brand's brochures, website, and even its presentation stand at Maison et Objet 2017. The goal was to create a brand that reflected the future in all its aspects, without relying solely on digital technology.

The corporate branding for OIA had few restrictions in terms of dimensions, with the focus being on ensuring that the communication worked well across all mobile devices. The website, brochures, and stand were designed to provide a cohesive and immersive experience, inspired by the concept of a living organism.

The OIA Furniture and Objects project began in January 2017 and was presented at Maison et Objet in September of the same year. Throughout the process, the design team faced the challenge of balancing their emotional design style with the need to fit within the fictional universe that OIA represents.

OIA Furniture and Objects has been recognized for its outstanding design with a Bronze A' Design Award in 2018. This award acknowledges the brand's creativity, resourcefulness, and contribution to improving quality of life through art, science, design, and technology.
